Assessments
The first step in any treatment is for your allocated clinician to meet with you for an assessment. If you have a preference as to the clinician you would like to work with and/or know what type of support you are looking for, an assessment will be completed by your treating clinician at the beginning of the intervention offered.
However, should you be unsure about what support will be helpful, you will be allocated a clinician for the purpose of assessment only. You will subsequently be allocated to the most appropriate clinician once your difficulties are better understood. Where possible, Dr Eneberi will allocate you to the clinician you are most likely to receive treatment from, based on her impression following initial consultation.
01.
To allow for a comprehensive assessment to take place a 1.5 hour assessment session is recommended. However, this is at your discretion. The therapeutic assessment session allows TAE Psychology clinicians to gather information about your experiences, difficulties and coping strategies. The clinician will also think with you about what changes you want to see in your life and provide recommendations about how such changes could be obtained through therapy. This will include a consideration of what type of therapy may be most effective for you.

This session may give you some insight into what it will be like working with the clinician.

At the end of the assessment session, you will have an opportunity to ask the clinician any questions you might have. Should your allocated clinician be appropriate and you wish to proceed with treatment, some therapy sessions will then be scheduled. Otherwise, the clinician who completed the assessment will refer you back to Dr Eneberi for allocation.

*Please note that following initial assessment you are not obligated to continue on to treatment. However, should you want an assessment report with recommendations, an admin fee will be incurred*

Dr Eneberi and Dr Peart are experienced in the completion of child, parent, and family assessments for the Family Courts. They have completed numerous assessments for families under the Public Law Outline, and when things have progressed further.

Dr Eneberi and Dr Peart complete Expert Witness Assessments individually and jointly, dependent on the size of the family and/or any preferences made by the parties.

When completing an Expert Witness Assessment, a multi-modal assessment, inclusive of clinical interview, psychometrics and clinical observations, is completed.

The following specialist assessments are currently offered by clinicians at TAE Psychology:

Adoption Support: A trauma and attachment informed assessment is available in line with the inclusion criteria set out in the Adoption and Special Guardian Support Fund.

AIM3: An assessment framework used to assess harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people. More information about the AIM3 assessment can be found at https://aimproject.org.uk/

Complex Assessments are offered at TAE Psychology. A complex assessment will be recommended if, following consultation with Dr Eneberi, it is felt that you and your family would benefit from multidisciplinary thinking and care. In such situations, you will be invited to meet with a clinical psychologist and a Family Therapist for an extended period of time or across multiple sessions, so that the needs of your family can be understood and appropriate support be put into place. Should you wish to seek care from TAE Psychology, a comprehensive therapy package will be proposed based on identified needs, alongside information about likely costs. However, should you wish to seek support elsewhere, the clinicians involved in your assessment will produce a comprehensive assessment report, inclusive of recommendations.

A cognitive assessment is a formal assessment designed to identify your cognitive strengths and weaknesses. If you are to proceed with a cognitive assessment, an initial intake appointment will be completed, you or your child will be invited for testing and you will be asked to complete some other questionnaires.
Following a cognitive assessment, a report is provided and recommendations are made for adaptations that can be made to you or your child's environment (whether that be at work, home, school or any other context) to support daily functioning.
