Dr Stefan Peart

Dr Stefan Peart - Clinical Psychologist

Dr Peart strives to be a compassionate and sensitive clinical psychologist. He aims to be flexible in his approach, responding to the needs of the children, parents, families or adults that he supports. He greatly value all opportunities to work alongside and support families and young people in their therapeutic journeys towards change. He views each person and family as unique, and strives to maintain a person-centred or family-centred approach, tailoring the support he offers to an individual's unique needs and circumstances.

Dr Peart  has been working with adults, children, young people, and families in numerous contexts since 2007, and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012. He has worked across London, Kent and Buckinghamshire in NHS and Local Authority settings inclusive of CAMHS, Adult Mental Health settings, Social Care, Inpatient and hospital settings, court settings and in private practice. He greatly value opportunities to work with diversity of all kinds.

Dr Peart conducts specialist psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions with children, parents, adults andfamilies for the purpose of understanding and supporting development and needs, psychological wellbeing, relationships, and mental health concerns. He has had wonderful opportunities to train in and use a number of therapeutic models. This means he can work specifically with one therapeutic model or integrate techniques from different models. This really helps him focus on what works best for each of his clients without being too restricted in his practice. He uses Trauma-focused approaches, narrative approaches, Cognitive, Behavioural or Schema approaches, Mentalisation-based approaches, and Attachment focused approaches (such as Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and therapeutic Life Story work) in his work.

His focus in therapy is always to understand and support positive and adaptive changes where possible or consider a way forward. He is trained to assess and work with developmental conditions such as autism and ADHD, and attachment-related difficulties (which includes post adoption support). He also have a broad range of experience working with mental health difficulties such as trauma (incident specific trauma, development trauma, or complex trauma), anxiety, panic, depression, OCD, relationship difficulties, and family-based difficulties.

Danny Goddard

Danny Goddard - Family & Couples Therapist

Danny Goddard is a systemic psychotherapist who works with families and couples experiencing difficulties and stickiness in their relationships in short and long-term therapy. He is a qualified Systemic Family and Couples Therapist who has worked in the NHS for over 13 years.

As a systemic psychotherapist, he sees that difficulties as well as strengths lie in relationships that we have with other people. He works with people to understand and address the hurdles in their relationships and build on the strengths that already exist and may have become difficult to notice or remember. In his practice, he has found that in discovering, talking about and experiencing new or hidden stories, people are able to find space to try new things with each other.

Whether challenges occur between parents or carers, children, siblings or partners, Danny is able to provide a non-judgemental space to explore them and find new ways forward.

He considers positive change to be a combination of bringing a therapist's training together with a client's expertise about their history, experiences and culture - working together within a safe space so that meaningful and positive difference can be experienced.
